El Ensamble de Cuerdas Andinas ASAB, fundado en 1997 bajo la dirección de Fabián Forero Valderrama, es una destacada agrupación compuesta por estudiantes de la carrera de música de la Facultad de Artes ASAB de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. A lo largo de su trayectoria, este ensamble se ha consolidado como un referente en la interpretación y difusión de la música andina, brindando a sus integrantes la oportunidad de crecer artísticamente en un entorno académico.
Dirigido por maestros de renombre como Manuel Bernal Martínez, Efraín Franco Arbeláez, Carlos Augusto Guzmán Torres y, más recientemente, por las maestras Jenny Marcela Alba y Ángela Tatiana Naranjo, el ensamble ha sido un espacio de aprendizaje y desarrollo musical para sus miembros. Las presentaciones en espacios culturales emblemáticos, como el Auditorio Samuel Bedoya, el Auditorio Fabio Lozano y el auditorio Teresa Cuervo Borda del Museo Nacional, han permitido a los estudiantes compartir su pasión por la música con el público, enriqueciendo su formación profesional.
