El Cascanueces siempre llega con la Navidad, ahora sobre hielo (ecológico) del Gran Ballet de Moscú Sobre Hielo. Es una fábula que habla del contraste entre la realidad del mundo de los adultos y el mundo de los sueños de los niños.
Su colorido, extraordinaria imaginación que desbordan los personajes, haciendo gala del Patinaje Artístico, las aventuras y la maravillosa música de Tchaikovsky, han convertido el Cascanueces en uno de los Ballets más representados en todos los países de los 5 continentes en fechas decembrinas.
“… Los niños despiertan y corren a recibir sus regalos: Un arlequín, una colombina y un gracioso soldadito de gran cabeza y fuertes dientes para cascar nueces que le encantó a Clara, quién se va a dormir con el Cascanueces y sueña: Los soldaditos de plomo desfilan, el arlequín y la colombina bailan alegres… de pronto sale de la oscuridad el Rey de los Ratones y sus huestes que luchan con los soldaditos de plomo; se levanta el Cascanueces empuña una espada y ordena que los cañones disparen caramelos contra los ratones.
El Cascanueces gana la batalla, y se convierte en un apuesto Príncipe e invita a Clara a un viaje fantástico por un bosque donde bailan los copos de nieve y se embarcan en una nave encantada hacía el país de los dulces de donde salen en el Trineo Real tirado por renos y desaparecen en el cielo estrellado…”
